Effectively shrink wrapping your products.

Shrink wrapping is a packaging method used for securing items to pallet, using stretchable plastic film to add layers and make a strong hold.

When you put your products to be delivered or stored onto a strong pallet, ensure to get one that is more than enough to cover the amount of items you are about to wrap. Make sure that everything is packed firmly. Spaces can loosen up the wrap later on, and the last thing you want is for all your hard work to go to waste by it ripping as, potentially, your products could fall off or get damaged.

Wrap the shrink wrapped, polythene packaging around the bottom of the pallet ensuring that you wrap the base several times so that your package will not slip off. Ideally, the whole pallet should feel like a solid unit. Things must move as one and should not wobble. Again, start from the base; keep it strong and move your way up until you have wrapped everything securely.

When you reach the top of the pallet you should wrap back down the base again. To know what is necessary, try pushing the upper portion to check if the load appears tight or loose. If you notice that the plastic is rippling, you were not able to wrap your package tight enough and you should probably add layers. Continue wrapping but this time from top to bottom. Once the stack is stable, cut the film apart and fold the end of it under the edge of one of the wraps on the pallet side.
